This painting was recently honoured with the Homiens Art Prize for spring 2025. This is the fourth iteration in my Everything At Once series and explores the dynamic interplay between space and colour, striving for a poetic intensity. I have attempted to create an image that flows, without dominant focal points or visual hierarchies. Three blues with narrow tonal values, carefully proportioned 50/25/25, create a harmonious, rhythmic composition which rewards repeated, slow contemplation. The graphic clarity and bold contrasts between the calming blues and the energetic forms, give it a dynamic edge. Dimensions of the whole piece, including frame, are 63 x 64.5 centimetres.
