In this piece, fragments of offcuts of other works, in matt and gloss combinations of oil and household paints, are scavenged and combined to create a brooding collage. On completion of the piece, I saw intimations of native American figures on the high plains lurking in its spaces. An atmospheric piece with a quiet intensity. The dark, restless textures hint at both destruction and renewal. This piece is especially rewarding to collectors who appreciate a sensual and varied visual experience.
