Point of No Return, 2022-2025
Oil on plyboard fragments, 83 x 81 cm
£850
Made in 2022 and re-worked in 2025, the starting off point for this work was the contemplation of a geological collapse so cataclysmic to be almost beyond conception. A point of no return when that event can’t be stopped. This was painted in oils on plyboard panels which were then cut up and re-arranged to form the finished composition. A bold, elemental work suggesting unstoppable forces in motion. Its graphic intensity and imposing physicality makes it a commanding centrepiece of any small to medium size space. Below are close up details of the work and a photograph of it hanging in my studio.
